SALARY GUIDE
How an invoice becomes salary
The invoice amount does not go directly to your private account. VAT is handled separately, while the amount excluding VAT forms the basis for the service fee, employer contributions, gross salary and preliminary tax.
01 · THE BASICS
Why is the invoice amount higher than the salary?
The invoice amount excluding VAT must cover WorkNode’s service fee, employer contributions and your gross salary. Preliminary tax is deducted from gross salary before net salary is paid.
This is a general explanation. Your actual payment depends on the selected plan, verified details, any allocations or deductions, and current rules.
02 · THE FLOW
Follow the money step by step
- 01
The client receives the invoice
The invoice shows the value of the work and any VAT. VAT is not part of the salary basis.
- 02
The client pays WorkNode
The payment is matched to the invoice and approved assignment.
- 03
WorkNode’s fee is handled
The fee follows the pricing plan and terms that apply to the invoice.
- 04
Employer contributions are calculated
WorkNode handles employer contributions as the employer for the assignment.
- 05
Gross salary is calculated
Gross salary is salary before preliminary tax.
- 06
Preliminary tax is deducted
The deduction depends on your tax details and how the salary is paid.
- 07
Net salary is paid
Payment is made once the client payment has been matched and the salary basis is complete under the current terms.
