By personal data, we mean the data WorkNode collects and stores about you and how you use our services that identifies you directly or indirectly. At WorkNode, we use this information to provide services, give you a better user experience, improve our services and provide offers suited to your needs.

The information below explains how we collect and handle your personal data in accordance with the GDPR.

When you register as a WorkNode user, you do so using your email address. WorkNode then collects information that you provide yourself, including personal identity number, name, address, telephone number, bank details, work and education history, and skills.

WorkNode stores data about which services you order and use, and how you use them.

When you contact WorkNode support, the information you provide is collected so that our support team can help you.

WorkNode collects and processes data that:

you provide when becoming and while remaining a WorkNode user;

you provide when contacting WorkNode, including notes, chat conversations, emails and recorded calls;

is created when you use WorkNode's services—for example, when visiting and using WorkNode's website, platform and services; and

is collected through cookies when you use our website and platform.

WorkNode must have one of the following legal bases to process your data:

performance of our contract with you;

compliance with a legal obligation to which WorkNode is subject;

the processing is in your and WorkNode's legitimate interests; or

your consent to the processing.

WorkNode needs to process your personal data in order to provide its services to you. Below is information about what WorkNode uses your data for and the legal basis for each use.

WorkNode processes contact and personal details to identify you as a user and customer; manage and deliver the services provided by WorkNode's platform; administer invoicing and payment for services you have ordered and use under WorkNode's general terms; and process the contact and personal details required for invoicing and payment. WorkNode uses your data to comply with laws and regulations, including tax rules and other requirements issued by public authorities.

WorkNode processes your personal data to detect and prevent:

WorkNode retains personal data for as long as there is a documented purpose. As a user, you may contact WorkNode's data protection officer at support@worknode.se for further details.

WorkNode has agreements with all partners and subcontractors within the EU and EU Standard Contractual Clauses with all those outside the EU. Among other things, the agreements govern which personal data is processed, why particular processing is carried out, how the personal data is protected, and how it must be processed. WorkNode seeks never to share more personal data than necessary with each partner.

WorkNode regularly informs the Swedish Tax Agency of income in accordance with Swedish laws and regulations. When requested, WorkNode may be required by law or an authority decision to disclose certain personal data to, for example, the Police.

WorkNode uses industry standards to store, process and communicate sensitive information such as personal data and passwords securely, including SSL/TLS, PGP and one-way hashing algorithms.

Protection is implemented through systematic organisational and technical measures to ensure integrity, confidentiality and availability.

You control your own personal data. This means that you decide which information you wish to provide and which processing of your personal data you approve, and you may withdraw your consent whenever you wish.

Please note, however, that we need certain personal data to provide our services to you. If you choose to withdraw your consent, we may be unable to provide all our services to you.

When you close your account, WorkNode deletes all personal data for which there is no purpose for future processing. Data that is not deleted is data required under the Swedish Bookkeeping Act.

Website analytics

WorkNode uses Vercel Analytics for cookieless website statistics. Google Tag Manager is used to manage measurement tags, and Google Analytics 4 is used for optional visitor analytics. Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 are loaded only after the visitor has consented to analytics in the Website's settings. The choice is saved locally in the browser and can be changed using the Cookie Settings button. Data from the services is processed in accordance with the respective supplier agreement and this Policy.
