Yes, you may be eligible for sick pay while carrying out assignments through WorkNode.
As your employer during the assignment, we are responsible for sick pay on days 2 to 14, provided the conditions below are met and all documents are completed correctly and in full. The Swedish Social Insurance Agency handles your case after that. WorkNode applies one qualifying day without sick pay.
- If you become ill, report sick to your client on the same day and submit the Sickness and return-to-work report.
- Sick pay is 80% of your gross salary for the assignment. Preliminary tax is deducted as required by law.
- Apply for sick pay within a reasonable time.
- Your specific assignment must have been pre-registered using the Pre-registration form.
- You must have worked for WorkNode Freelance AB for 14 consecutive days before becoming ill.
- Employment periods shorter than one month are added together, provided the gap between two working dates is no more than 14 days. Sick pay is processed only for the days and hours when you would have worked through WorkNode Freelance AB.
- From day 8 of the sickness period, you must provide a valid medical certificate. WorkNode may require a medical certificate from the first day.
- When you return to work, report this using the Sickness and return-to-work form.
- To apply for sick pay, complete all information in the sick pay application form.
