PRACTICAL GUIDE
Can you invoice without F-tax?
Yes. Through self-employment, WorkNode can invoice the client with F-tax even if you do not have F-tax yourself. You receive salary for the approved assignment.
01 · F-TAX
What does F-tax mean for the client?
Approval for F-tax shows that the recipient of payment is responsible for its own taxes and charges. When WorkNode is the contracting party, WorkNode invoices the client with F-tax and handles employer contributions and salary tax withholding.
You should therefore not describe the arrangement as invoicing under your own F-tax.
02 · TWO OPTIONS
Two ways to invoice for work
Self-employment
WorkNode is the contracting party, invoices the client and pays salary for the approved assignment. You do not need your own F-tax for WorkNode’s invoice.
Your own business
Your business invoices the client and is responsible for bookkeeping, tax, VAT and its own finances.
03 · BEFORE THE AGREEMENT
Agree things in the right order
First connect the assignment to WorkNode and agree that WorkNode will be the contracting party and issue the invoice. You can then agree the compensation with the client.
You cannot first agree compensation personally and later ask WorkNode to issue the invoice. Contact support if the assignment has already been agreed or completed.
04 · THE CLIENT
What does the client need to know?
Explain that WorkNode Freelance AB is the contracting party and will issue the invoice. The client may need to register WorkNode as a supplier and provide a purchaser reference, billing address or invoicing-portal details.
