RESPONSIBILITY, TAX, AND INSURANCE
Clear responsibilities for every assignment
Self-employment divides responsibilities between the company, freelancer, and WorkNode. The specific assignment and applicable terms determine exactly what each party must do.
01 · THE COMPANY
The company's responsibilities
These points are a general overview. The assignment and terms determine the final division of responsibilities.
- ensuring the order, price, and invoice information are correct
- setting delivery and quality requirements
- handling the work environment and introduction in its own operations
- handling relevant qualifications, safety, and confidentiality requirements at the company
- reviewing and paying a correct invoice
02 · THE FREELANCER
The freelancer's responsibilities
- ensuring assignment information is accurate
- performing the work as agreed
- providing required qualifications and documentation
- reporting changes, conflicts, or obstacles
03 · WORKNODE
WorkNode's responsibilities
- reviewing whether the assignment can be handled
- invoicing for approved assignments
- handling the client's payment
- handling payroll information, preliminary tax, and employer contributions under the applicable terms
04 · TAX
Tax and employer contributions
For an approved assignment, WorkNode handles payroll information, preliminary tax withholding, and employer contributions under the applicable terms.
This does not change the company's responsibility for the order, work environment in its operations, or a correct supplier invoice.
05 · INSURANCE
Insurance for the assignment
The insurance cover depends on the assignment’s content, location, risks, and current policy terms. Contact WorkNode before work begins if the assignment has special risks or requirements.
06 · CHANGES
If the assignment changes
Notify WorkNode before work continues if the scope, location, risks, or tasks change in a way that may affect approval or the terms.
