Terms and Conditions Tell a Friend

These terms and conditions apply to WorkNode's referral program "Refer a Friend" (hereinafter "the Program").

1. About the Program

The program allows existing WorkNode users ("Referrer") to invite new users ("Friend") with a personal code.

When the Friend starts using WorkNode in accordance with the terms and conditions below, both the Referrer and the Friend receive a financial benefit.

WorkNode may adjust or terminate the Program at any time. Changes do not apply retroactively to discounts or rewards already earned.

2. What the Friend gets

When the Friend:

  1. Create an account with WorkNode, and

  2. Uses the referrer's personal code when creating their first invoice

gets the Friend:

  • $995 discount on WorkNode fees

  • 0% WorkNode fee until the total discount of SEK 995 has been used up

The discount:

  • Applies regardless of whether the Friend uses FLEX or PRO

  • Automatically deducted from the WorkNode fee on Friend's invoices until a total of SEK 995 has been used.

  • Applies only to new users who have not previously had an account with WorkNode (unless otherwise expressly stated).

3. What the Tipster gets

When the Friend uses the Tipster's personal code and starts using WorkNode, the Tipster can receive:

  • 500 SEK when the Friend has become a recruited friend (see definition below)

  • +500 SEK extra when your friend becomes a recruited PRO friend (see definition below)

In total, the Referrer can receive up to SEK 1,000 per Friend.

Payment:

The reward to the Tipster is paid out as a balance in the Tipster's WorkNode account.

The tip balance can then be used in accordance with WorkNode's standard terms and conditions, e.g. by requesting payment of wages from the account.

4. Definitions: “recruited friend” and “recruited PRO friend”

A recruited friend counts when all of the following points are met:

  1. Your friend has created an account with WorkNode

  2. Your friend has created an invoice in WorkNode.

  3. The friend has entered the referrer's personal code on their first invoice (as instructed).

  4. The invoice has been paid

Only then will the reward of SEK 500 be paid to the tipster.

A recruited PRO friend counts when:

  • Your friend has upgraded their account to WorkNode PRO

  • The upgrade is active according to WorkNode's standard terms and conditions.

When this occurs, the additional compensation of SEK 500 is triggered for the Referrer, regardless of when the first invoice was paid (as long as the Friend was initially linked to the Referrer's code).

5. How to use the personal code

  • The referrer will receive a personal campaign code when logging in to WorkNode.

  • Your friend must enter this code when creating their first invoice.

  • If the code is not entered correctly, or is only entered on a later invoice, the discount and compensation may not be applied.

WorkNode is not responsible for incorrectly entered or forgotten codes.

6. Limitations

  • The tipster cannot recruit themselves or an account belonging to the same person.

  • The program is intended for genuine recommendations to real freelancers/consultants.

  • The offer cannot be combined with other promotions or discounts, unless otherwise stated.

  • WorkNode may limit the number of rewards per Tipster if deemed necessary (e.g., in cases of suspected abuse or unnaturally high volume).

7. Misuse of the Program

WorkNode reserves the right to refuse or revoke discounts and/or compensation if we deem that the Program is being misused, e.g. through:

  • fake accounts or self-invitations

  • attempt to circumvent the terms and conditions

  • any other use that violates WorkNode's general terms and conditions or the purpose of the Program

In cases of serious abuse, the account may be closed and earned rewards frozen or removed.

8. Personal data

In order to administer the Program, WorkNode processes personal data, e.g. for the following purposes:

  • Connect Tipsare and Friend to the correct code

  • calculate and assign discounts

  • calculate and allocate compensation to the Tipster

The processing is carried out in accordance with WorkNode's privacy policy.
