How to charm customers, flirt and get a better price

Rapport: Your best friend when you want the customer, flirt or salesperson to like you more.
Building rapport means you click with someone for real. Like when you find a TV on Marketplace that seems a little too expensive but with a little charm, you get the price down (and maybe even an extra HDMI cable to boot).
At work? Same thing! When you make the customer feel comfortable and understood, it's much easier to sell your ideas, get new business and even avoid unnecessary misunderstandings.
How to become a report master:
You have two ears and one mouth (listen more than you talk): Follow what the person is saying, ask questions and show that you care. Repeat the last word the other person says in a sentence - it can make them feel understood and talk more!
Mirror neurons in practice: gently mirror the other person's body language and tone of voice. But be careful, you don't want to look like their reflection on speed.
Common interests: Do you both watch Netflix? Do you like bad jokes? Use it!
Compliment confetti: Sprinkle the conversation with one or two or three simple, honest compliments. They can melt the ice and create a warm mood in no time.
Unleash the humor ninja (but read the room first): A laugh creates a quick connection, but be sensitive to the time and place.
Be open and personal (but only just!): Sharing a small personal anecdote, feeling or thought shows that you are human and easy to talk to - but keep it at the right level (don't get too private or emotional).
